Open Your TIAA-CREF Account Now
Your first step is to notify your university that you wish to participate in the Arizona Board of Regents Optional Retirement Plan. If you do not complete all the enrollment steps, including the Retirement Plan Election process with your university, your retirement plan participation will be permanently and irrevocably defaulted to the Arizona State Retirement System. To elect to participate in the Optional Retirement Plan, please visit your university’s Human Resources website.
Step 1. Print out and complete the Election of Retirement Option form and mail it to the ASU HR Benefits Office. (If this step has been completed, go to Step 2.)
Step 2. Open your account online as described below.
To enroll in the Optional Retirement Plan, log in to Employee Link with your UA NetID and password, then select “ORP Enrollment.” A new browser window containing the TIAA-CREF enrollment website will open. (Do not close Employee Link.)
After opening your account through TIAA-CREF, return to Employee Link, where you will enter information provided by TIAA-CREF as you complete the final steps of the enrollment process.

To complete your retirement enrollment you must submit your election electronically to the NAU Human Resources Department, then choose "Enroll in Retirement." (You will need to log into Louie.)
Open an Account Online
Before you open an account, have the following information available:
- Your investment allocations, which you selected from your Investment Choices
- Your Social Security number
- Your beneficiary election and his/her Social Security number, birth date and address
