Q. What do I do after I've enrolled?
A. After you have enrolled, you will receive a TIAA-CREF Welcome Kit and a Legal Package, which will include your contract and contract number. Review your Welcome Kit carefully as it will contain the information you indicated during the enrollment process — including allocations and beneficiary information.

You will also be able to review your accounts and perform transactions online by using Secure Access.

Q. How do I get help choosing my allocation mix?
A. TIAA-CREF offers a series of financial education seminars through City University of New York or at various locations in your local area. You may also be able to meet with a TIAA-CREF investment professional to assess your financial situation.

Q. How can I see my accounts and perform transactions online?
A. You can view your account information, change allocations, and make transfers by visiting Secure Access. You will need a user ID and password to use this portion of our site.

Q. What if I am eligible for Retiree Healthcare benefits?
A. If you are eligible for Retiree Healthcare benefits, you must set up a Lifetime Income Annuity with TIAA-CREF, to generate a monthly stream of income from which deductions for health insurance premiums will be withheld. Contact TIAA-CREF at 800 TIAA-CREF (800 842-2273), to start a Lifetime Income Annuity, on a minimum of $10,000, from your $50,000 required reserve, to satisfy standard health care premium deductions. More costly plans may require additional amounts to be annuitized.

When consulting with the TIAA-CREF representative, make sure to inform them of the monthly health insurance premium for the carrier you selected. This will ensure you annuitize the appropriate amount to cover the monthly premium.

Your Lifetime Income Annuity must be set up prior to enrolling in health benefits. You must submit a copy of the Acknowledgement of Request for Annuity Payment from TIAA-CREF to your employer's benefits office to initiate the health insurance enrollment process. Failure to set up a Lifetime Income Annuity may jeopardize your health insurance enrollment.
