To enroll in the Michigan State University plan, you must
use the online enrollment system on the Michigan State University Human Resources Website. Upon accessing this site, follow these steps:

Click on eHR for "Electronic Transactions" on the right hand side of the page.

Sign in using your MSU NetID and password.

Select "Retirement Enrollment/Changes."

Select "Open New Account."

Select "Enroll with a New Investment Sponsor."

Select TIAA-CREF and complete TIAA-CREF's online application.
IMPORTANT: TIAA-CREF will supply a confirmation number when the application is completed. This number is required to complete the second portion of the online process.

Return to the eHR site after completing the TIAA-CREF application to complete the MSU salary reduction agreement portion so payroll knows how much to defer. Enter the TIAA-CREF confirmation number in this application.
NOTE: Your enrollment is not complete until you complete the MSU salary reduction agreement in addition to the TIAA-CREF application. You will receive an e-mail from the MSU Human Resources Department when you have completed the salary reduction agreement portion.
