Eligibility Stetson University Retirement Plan Eligible employees hired after May 31, 2006 will begin participation in this plan on the Plan Entry Date following the completion of one year of service at the institution.*
* Exceptions:

A president, vice president, associate vice president, dean, associate dean, assistant dean, full-time faculty employee, executive director, director or registrar who was enrolled in a previous employer's retirement plan may participate in this plan immediately.

A president, vice president, associate vice president, dean, associate dean, assistant dean, full-time faculty employee, executive director, director or registrar who was not enrolled in a previous employer's retirement plan may participate in this plan immediately.
- During the first year of service at the institution, the university will contribute to the plan on these employees' behalf at the rate of 5% of base gross salary.
- Upon completion of one year of service, the university will contribute to the plan at the rate of 10% of base gross salary.
All other eligible employees will begin participation in the plan after one year of service at the institution:
- Upon completion of one year of service at the institution, the staff member will begin participation in the plan at a contribution rate of 5% of base gross salary.
- Upon completion of two years of service, the staff member will begin participation in the plan at a contribution rate of 10% of base gross salary.
